Have you ever worried so much in life that it reaches the point where it makes you feel scared, trapped with time, disturb your sleep or you can’t even sleep at all? If you have had this experience or are experiencing it at this moment, let me tell you.. I know how bad this can go. But, I also know that this situation is figureout-able.
First thing first. Know that when I say we can tame our worry, it doesn\\\’t necessarily mean the worry will go away. It can even still be there with you, to give you cautions when needed, but YOU DON\\\’T LET IT OVERPOWER YOU.
When you tame your worry, you are the one who\\\’s in control. It\\\’s you in charge of your own emotions.
I find that most people come to me have so much worry and they don’t have any single idea how to deal with it. And sometimes it disturbs them so much, they can’t even think straight. It disturbs their work life and even their marriage. Also, people who worry much are usually high-tempered.
That\\\’s why here I am sharing with you seven practical tips to tame your worry away. You can try them out and see what difference they bring to your life.
1. Be more grateful
Well, it’s not easy to be fully satisfied, but at least, be grateful. Be grateful for what you’ve got, what you have, and be grateful for your life. There are so many people out there who have so little yet so grateful. Learn from them.
2. Be present
Stop dwelling on the past and worry for the future. You don’t have a time machine, you can’t change what happened in the past; and you just need to work on what you want to happen in the future. Enjoy your life now and worry about it when the time comes.
3. Look around you
You keep whining about your life when there are people whose life is way worse than you. You’ve got your family and friends who love you, when there are people who don’t even know who their parents are. You can still enjoy your life without having to worry about paying the bills. You can still eat anything you want and do whatever you want without having to worry about your illness. Still feeling unlucky enough?
4. Have faith
It’s very important to have faith. Having faith in God, or the Universe, or the higher power, and in yourself and the dreams that you are working on. It makes everything smoother when you have a belief. Don\\\’t worry, everything will fall into place.
5. Make plans and preparation
If making plans and preparation makes you feel safe, then do it. Some people are insecure if they don’t know what to do and it makes them worry more. So, do your research, make some plans, stick to it and you would feel safe enough to face your problems.
6. Surrender
Surrender yourself, stop over-thinking things. Don’t force it; trust the flow of the Universe to take care of everything. If it’s meant to happen, it will find a way. If it’s not, then just wait for God’s plan to happen to us.
7. Rest yourself
Most people forget to rest themselves when they worry. Sleep it on, and if you still need more rest, go on a vacation. Sometimes, you just need a good holiday to tame your worry away. Getting away from your problems for few days can refresh your mind and you can even come back with new ideas to solve your problems.
