Have you found your dream job? Are you content with your current job? Or do you feel like there’s more that you can do with your life? Not many of us are “lucky” enough to do what we love, or perhaps, not yet. Some of us are still stuck with the “ok” jobs, the ones that pay the bill (lol…), but it’s better to have a job than being jobless, right?
We just celebrated Mayday on May 1; it can be a good timing to evaluate the works we have done so far. Some people work really hard and get paid so little, while at the same time, others can easily collect enormous wealth by doing very little. So yes, sometimes we think that life is not fair. But actually, it is. There is always a reason behind every condition; we just need to know what or why. Or sometimes, it can be just enough to accept and be more grateful for the life we have.
Today I want to share with you a few steps so that you can love your job more, and therefore, you can make your life way easier and merrier. Here is the list:
1. Find the reason why
Ask yourself, what motivates you to do what you do. Is it for your own success? Or to make your family happy? Or something bigger like world peace? 🙂 You can find the reason within; perhaps you already know it, and you just don’t want to acknowledge it. Open your eyes and open your heart, hear the voice within.
2. Accept it
If at the meantime you still haven’t found the job that you love, then learn to love the job that you have. But… if you still can’t love the job you have, it’s okay if you want to test out the water, you know.
3. Work with all your heart
If you do your job wholeheartedly, slowly you can see the blessings in disguise. Even the Universe will help you to straighten your ways. And use this chance to learn as much as you can from your boss and your co-workers; about the industry, life and anything, really.
4. Add a little more sparks
There are few reasons to love your job; if it’s not the job itself, try to love something else about your job. It can be about your nice boss or your job environment. Make your work life more colorful by always be kind to the people at your workplace. Give little surprises, for example, or celebrate certain holidays with costume party and other interesting events.
5. Accept the lesson
Everything happens for a reason, it’s either a blessing or a lesson. Just let it flow, follow where the current leads you to. You just need to be brave to go with the flow. If you can accept the lesson behind the situation you’re in, your job wouldn’t be such a waste and you can make another step to the higher place.
Doing a job you don’t love will only make your life miserable and I’m sure you don’t want that. So, if it happens that you are feeling blue in your workplace currently, you can now apply these simple steps above to have a more meaningful work-life.
Do the best with your life; learn more about your talents or your skills, let them bloom and make your dreams come true.
